In each profession there are certain pollutants from which we must protect ourselves. A carpenter is not the same as a chemist, therefore, in addition to choosing between masks, full masks and semi-masks, we must also properly choose the types of respiratory filters that we use.
Aerosol and particulate filters are marked with the letter P and the color white. These can be subdivided into 3 depending on the level of efficiency they offer. Therefore, we will have low efficiency particulate filters (P1), medium efficiency particulate filters (P2) and high efficiency particulate filters (P3).
Respiratory filters that are used against organic gases and vapors with PE over 65ºC are marked with the letter A. These, in addition, are divided into 3 depending on the level of protection, in the same way that happened with filters against particles.
